The home side matched their opponents in the first half hour but two goals just before half time by Shea Bennington-Mannings and Charlie Saunders gave RGSG the half time advantage. Any hope that Jamie Hillman's side could force a way back into the tie took a third knock on 49 minutes with a Jack Spark goal and the hope was finally extinguished after the hour mark with a Louis Ward goal.
