Dean Griffiths gave the highly fancied Foxes the lead early on before midfielder Connor Kingdon was sent off for a two footed challenge halfway through the first half. Former Grove player Asa White made it 2-0 after the visitors were temporarily reduced to eight men after receiving two sin bin yellow cards within sixty seconds.
Another former Hengrove player Danny Dodimead grabbed a quickfire double before Jordan Williams and White made it six. A third former Grover, Lewis Dunn, deflected into his own net with three minutes remaining as a mere consolation on a torrid night for Jamie Hillman's men.
Dean Griffiths' opener had come on five minutes after White had drilled a free kick which returning goalkeeper Carl Bush saved well with his legs, Griffths following up to tuck home. The turning point came on 25 minutes when Kingdon's challenge was deemed a red card offence and things went from bad to worse for the greens when both Giorgio Mancini and Jack Jones ended up getting sin bin yellow cards in a minute just before the break. Asa White smashed home number two on 43 minutes before Mickey Parsons went off for treatment on a hand injury leaving Hengrove with only seven players for several minutes.
After the break, Danny Dodimead slotted home two goals in ninety seconds past Bush and Jordan Williams made it 5-0 on 67 minutes with a good finish. Asa White rounded off the victory with a sixth on 81 minutes and even the Hengrove goal came from a Bris player, Lewis Dunn deflecting a low cross past Charlie Phillips, hs own keeper.
