SONNY DELIGHT AS GROVE DIG DEEP TO BEAT MINERS

Sonny Parker's double along with an Ethan Hardy goal rescued Jamie Hillman's side after they were reduced to ten men with the dismissal of debutant Danny Constable. Later, the visitors were reduced to nine men and paid the price as Grove roared back to gain the three points to move into the top ten of the table.

The visitors came into the game having won four of their first six matches and started confidently, taking the lead on twelve minutes through an Ian Jeffery penalty. Two minutes later, the advantage was doubled when Luke Ingram scored and when Danny Constable, making his return to the club, was sent off on 25 minutes, it looked a long way back for the Grove.

However having seen their opponents strike twice in quick succession, Hengrove did the same themselves when Ethan Hardy pulled a goal back on 59 mintes and Sonny Parker, fresh from sacoring four for the under-18's on Thursday night, equalised on 61 minutes. The Miners then lost two players to red cards making it 9 v 10 and Sonny Parker wrapped up an amazing comeback win, and a week to remember for him, as the 16-year-old grabbed the winner with nine minutes left.
