Hengrove Athletic v Bristol City

In July 2016, Hengrove Athletic played Bristol City in a pre-season friendly at Norton Lane.

It was the annual Bristol City Community Trust match whereby the City manager brings the first team squad to a local club to play a match. The result is secondary to the principal point which is to raise money for the BCCT and the hosting club.

Hengrove Athletic were honoured to be chosen as the host club and together with the team from the BCFC Community Trust, we put on a day to remember. Almost 1,700 supporters turned up on a lovely day to have a great time and watch the match which ended in a 7-0 win for City.
