Manager Jamie Hillman made just one change to the starting XI that had lost at Tavistock in the FA Cup last weekend. New signing Troy Walters came straight in up front to replace Simon Knight who took a berth on the bench.
The first half saw the visiting Miners hit the woodwork three times and also take the lead but by half time, the Grove were still in the match. And this was emphasised within two minutes of the restart as Knight, who had come on midway through the first half, scored the hosts' first goal of the season.
Radstock didn't allow Hengrove to get any foothold in the game and within ten minutes of the Grove equalising, they found themselves 3-1 down. A late fourth gave the scoreline a slightly harsh look to it and Hengrove slipped to a second successive league defeat.
There is a quick opportunity to build on the promising signs when Hengrove travel to Calne Town on Monday night in a Toolstation Western League game, kick off at Bremhill View is at 7.45pm.
