Grove gaffer Jamie Hillman made six changes to the side that lost last weekend at home to Welton Rovers. Out went Gary Shorney, Jude McCarthy, Luco Ponsillo, Giorgio Mancini, Regan Burton and Jack Cousins; in came Luke Crewe, Mickey Parsons, JoJo Pickering, Ethan Hardy, Jackson Brown and there was also a first start for Harry Templeman.
The first half saw Cheddar go two goals up, the first of which came from Ricky Bennett's corner that was acrobatically hooked home by Adam Jones. Number two arrived when Joe Woodley converted at the second attempt before the break. The Cheesemen added a third after the interval when Bennett hit a spectacular, swerving strike that flew into the top corner.
The result sees Cheddar keep up their pursuit of a top six spot with four games remaining while Hengrove slip down to seventeenth position. Next up for the Grove is a double Easter helping of home games with Bishop Sutton visiting on Good Friday and Longwell Green on the Easter Monday.
