Two goals in six second half minutes saw Bishop Sutton leave Norton Lane with all three points in this mid-table clash at Hengrove Athletic.

Hengrove manager Jamie Hillman again named a youthful side making three changes to the starting XI that were beaten 3-0 at Cheddar last weekend. Missing from the lineup were Luke Crewe, JoJo Pickering and Harry Templeman (the latter two on the bench) while in came Jude McCarthy, Jack Cousins and Brandon Feehely.

Top scorer Danny Dodimead gave the home side the lead early in the second half with his 18th goal of the season but former Grove midfielder Luke Palmer equalised before Mason Daggar grabbed a 63rd minute winner. The victory sees Bishop Sutton move up to ninth spot after their penultimate match with the home side remaining in 17th with three games left, the first of which is on Easter Monday at home to Longwell Green Sports.

The attendance of 165 was the best at Hengrove since November 2018 when the hosts drew 3-3 with Hallen in a Groundhop match. Thank you for your wonderful support.
