A 90th minute equaliser from striker Brandon Feehely ensured that Hengrove Athletic ended their season with a point against Wells City.

Feehely's header from a free kick means that Jamie Hillman's side end the season in sixteenth position on 45 points, a creditable finish considering the number of players used and youngsters blooded in this transition season.

The manager made two changes to the side that lost 2-0 at Devizes Town last weekend; in came Luke Crewe & Sam Jackson to replace Jude McCarthy and Dylan Gould.

The early possession was shaded by the visitors who were still harbouring hopes of a playoff spot along with four other teams on this final Saturday of the normal season. Wells took the lead on 17 minutes from the penalty spot when the Division One top scorer Adam Wright converted his 33rd goal of the season after Craig Herrod was brought down in the box. The half continued with Hengrove looking dangerous on the counter attack and right on half time, Jackson struck the post with an effort that beat the keeper all ends up.

After the break, the game became more even and both sides had hopeful shouts for another penalty but it took until the dying moments of the game before the home leveller. A free kick was swung into the box and Brandon Feehely was there to head home and rescue a late point for the Grove. As it was, the late conceded goal only cost Wells one place in the table as Radstock's thumping 5-0 win over Bristol Telephones meant that Wells couldn't catch Radstock whatever their result.
